About these terms
Whirlwind Arena (the “App”) is published by Haselrig Technologies LLC (“Haselrig Technologies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Your use of the App is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these Community Terms and Online Play Rules (“Community Terms”). The Community Terms add rules for playing with other people, Whirlwind Coins and free match prizes.
Agreeing before multiplayer
Before you participate in multiplayer—including Nearby Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-compatible play, Online lobbies, Quick Match and Game Center invitations—the App requires explicit agreement. Read these Community Terms and the Privacy Policy, check the initially unchecked agreement box, then tap Agree & continue. The button remains disabled until the box is checked. Enabling multiplayer voice chat also requires agreement.
Choosing Not now leaves multiplayer unavailable and lets you continue with solo play. Opening a policy link, closing the agreement or dismissing a policy page does not count as agreement. The App saves the accepted agreement version on your device and checks it before multiplayer access.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Players who break these rules can be removed from online play.
Online play rules
Whenever you play with others—by voice, through your display name, or any other way—do not:
- harass, bully or intimidate other players;
- use hate speech or slurs, or attack anyone for who they are;
- threaten violence or harm against anyone;
- share sexual or sexually explicit content;
- share personal information, yours or anyone else’s, such as real names, addresses, phone numbers or social media accounts;
- impersonate another player, Haselrig Technologies or anyone else;
- spam other players or flood voice chat;
- ask anyone their age, for photos, to meet in person, or to talk on another app or service, or otherwise target a younger player;
- cheat, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage or disrupt a match; or
- use an offensive display name, including one that is hateful, sexual or impersonating.
Your display name comes from Game Center. If it breaks these rules, change it in Game Center before playing online.
Reporting a player
If another player breaks these rules, report them:
- In the App: tap REPORT on the player in a lobby or on the match results screen.
- Through our website: use our contact form with “Whirlwind Arena” as the app. Include the player’s display name, the lobby code if you have it, and what happened.
We review reports within 24 hours, and reports marked Child Safety the same day. When a player has broken these rules, we act, and that action can include removing the player from online play, which also ends any lobby seat they hold. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Because voice chat is not recorded, a clear description of what happened helps us review a report.
How we moderate, and appeals
Display names are checked automatically against a word list, on our service and on your device, and a name it catches is shown as “Player” and four digits. A person reviews every report and decides any removal. A removed account is told how long the removal lasts and which rule it was for, and loses any lobby seat it holds. If you think we made a mistake, appeal through our contact form with your Game Center name within six months; a person reviews it and we reply within 14 days. Solo play is never affected.
Regulatory contacts
Authorities and users can reach us under the EU Digital Services Act through our contact form, in English.
Blocking players
Tap BLOCK on a player to silence their voice on your device. In online play we are told about the block too, so we can find players many others block and review them under these Community Terms. You can also turn voice chat off or leave a lobby at any time. Online, a blocked player is also kept out of your Quick Match groups and cannot join a lobby you are in.
Voice chat
Voice chat is between players. It is optional and off by default, and when it is on your voice is sent only while you have tapped the talk button on (hold to talk and open mic are options in Settings). We do not record or monitor voice chat, so please report abuse when it happens. Voice chat needs a signed-in Game Center account, and is unavailable when nobody is signed in, when Game Center marks the account as underage, or when it reports personalized communication restrictions, including applicable Screen Time limits.
Whirlwind Coins and items
- Whirlwind Coins and the items you get with them have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money.
- Coins and items cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, including between players.
- Coins do not expire.
- Coins and items are cosmetic only. They do not give any gameplay advantage.
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a coin purchase, the coins from that purchase are removed from your balance.
Free match prizes
The prize chest opened before a match is free. Nothing is purchased or wagered to open it, and you lose nothing if you don’t win. The prize—XP or Whirlwind Coins—is paid only to the match winner. The odds for each prize are published on our support page. Match prizes are offered by Haselrig Technologies alone: Apple is not a sponsor of them and is not involved with them in any way.
Age and parental controls
Online lobbies, Quick Match and Game Center matches use Game Center. Nearby play connects devices locally. The App respects multiplayer and communication restrictions that Game Center reports for signed-in accounts: multiplayer restrictions prevent multiplayer access; an account Game Center marks as underage cannot use online lobbies or Quick Match, which pair strangers; and underage or personalized communication restrictions disable voice chat. These safeguards use Apple’s account signals; the App does not independently verify your age.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Community Terms as the App changes and will post the updated terms here with a new effective date. When an app update introduces a newer required agreement version, the App asks you to check the agreement box and tap Agree & continue again before multiplayer access resumes. If you decline, solo play remains available.
