Quick answers.
How do I play?
Four fighters stand on timber platforms just above a tropical lagoon, while a rotating sweep arm circles them. As it reaches you, tap JUMP to leap over it, or tap COUNTER at the last moment to reverse it and speed it toward a rival. Fighters who get caught are swept into the water. The last fighter standing wins.
Play Solo against three AI rivals at Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert difficulty, play Nearby with friends on the same Wi‑Fi network or over Bluetooth, or play Online through Game Center invitations, public and private lobbies, and Quick Match.
What can I buy, and do coins expire?
Whirlwind Arena is free. You can optionally buy Whirlwind Coins and spend them on cosmetic items such as characters, colors and effects. Coins do not expire, have no cash value, and never give a gameplay advantage.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open STORE, choose CURRENCY, then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account and iCloud account you used when you bought your coins.
A purchase didn’t arrive. What should I do?
Close and reopen the app, or tap Restore Purchases in STORE › CURRENCY. If the purchase needs approval, such as through Ask to Buy, it arrives once it is approved. If your coins still haven’t appeared, contact support with the date of the purchase. Never send payment details.
How do I request a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a coin purchase, the coins from that purchase are removed from your balance.
How does iCloud wallet backup work?
iCloud backup is optional. If you are signed in to iCloud, your coin balance, owned items and purchase receipts are backed up to your private iCloud database. Sign in to the same iCloud account on a new device and your wallet is restored there. If it doesn’t appear right away, tap Restore Purchases. Without iCloud, your wallet stays on this device. We cannot see or access your iCloud data.
How do I use voice chat?
Voice chat is off by default and works in multiplayer lobbies and matches. Turn on VOICE CHAT in Settings and allow microphone access when iOS asks. Tap to talk is the default, so your voice is only sent after you tap the talk button, until you tap it again. Settings › TALK also offers hold to talk and open mic. You can turn voice chat off in Settings at any time.
If you declined microphone access earlier, turn it on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone. Voice chat needs a signed-in Game Center account, and is unavailable when nobody is signed in, when Game Center marks the account as underage, or when it reports personalized communication restrictions, including applicable Screen Time limits.
How do I report or block a player?
Tap REPORT on the player in a lobby or on the match results screen. We review reports within 24 hours, and Child Safety reports the same day. To report an adult targeting a younger player, choose Child Safety when you tap REPORT. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Tap BLOCK to silence that player’s voice on your device. Online blocks also keep the two players out of each other’s Quick Match groups and lobbies. You can also report a player through our contact form; include their display name, the lobby code if you have it, and what happened.
Why can’t I find an online match?
Online play needs Game Center and at least one other player. Make sure you are signed in to Game Center in iOS Settings. Quick Match pairs you when other players are searching at the same time, so a search can take a little while. In the meantime, you can invite friends through Game Center, open a lobby, or play Solo. Screen Time multiplayer limits turn off online play.
Nearby play can’t find other players.
Nearby play needs Local Network permission. If you declined it, turn it on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network. Both devices also need to be on the same Wi‑Fi network or have Bluetooth turned on.
How do I delete my online data?
In Whirlwind Arena, open Settings and choose Delete Online Data. This removes your online record from our service, and works even for an account removed from online play. If you play online again, a new record is created. If you can no longer sign in to Game Center, send a privacy request instead. The privacy policy explains exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
What should I include in a support request?
Include your device model, your iOS or iPadOS version, the mode you were playing (Solo, Nearby or Online), what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Never send passwords, payment details or authentication codes.
